Carlota Galindo Sharpe passed on New Year’s Eve surrounded by family members, in Longview, TX. Carlota was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Galindo, mother, Virginia Galindo, sister, Mary Helen Hoffman & brother Manuel P. Galindo. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Paul, son, Paul II & his wife Tina, daughter, Shannon & her husband William Happney. Grandchildren are Riley, J.W., Jessica & Megan. Sisters, Cecilia & husband John Codrey of Tulsa, OK., Eva Hixson of Oklahoma City, OK., Rachel & husband Steven Espolt of Newalla, OK., and numerous nieces & nephews. Carlota was born in Oklahoma City, OK on Nov. 4, 1941 and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1959. She married Paul on June 17, 1967. Thereafter they moved to Texas and started their family in Dallas then moved to Marshall in 1974. In 2003 they moved to Longview where she resided until her passing. Carlota was a wonderful wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and dedicated long time employee of the Harrison Central Appraisal District. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, TX on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. The family would like to acknowledge and say thank you to the wonderful ICU critical care nurses and staff at the Longview Regional Hospital for their kindness and care for her during her stay. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the House of Hope, 3011 West Marshall Avenue, Longview, Texas 75604.
