Shelton, Mildred Elizabeth Mildred Elizabeth Shelton went to meet her Lord Thursday, December 13, 2007. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Calvary Christian Tabernacle, with Senior Pastor A.D. Spears and Executive Pastor Charles Chargois officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2007, at the funeral home. Mrs. Shelton was born November 16, 1921, in Campti, La., to Jeff and Martha Jane Lasyone. She married Charles C. Shelton April 1, 1938. She was a homemaker and a founding member of Calvary Christian Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years in 1986; her parents; and two sisters, Beatrice Stroud and Alice Stroud; and one brother, Otho Lasyone. Mrs. Shelton is survived by two daughters, Willie Pruett and Charliene Williams and husband, Ross, all of Longview; two sons, the Rev. Buddy Shelton and wife, Patricia, of Kilgore and Charles Shelton Jr. and wife, Linda, of Longview; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Christine Lasyone and Eula Shelton; one brother-in-law, Alvin Shelton and wife, Gloria Dele; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Roy Williams, Steve Iffland, Todd Poteet, Jeff Pruett, Scotty Shelton, Ryan Ravellette, Regan, Ravellette and Logan Iffland. The family would life to extend a special thanks to all the employees and caretakers at Pine Tree Lodge Nursing Home and to Texas Home Health Hospice.
