Toney, H.D. 


Memorial services for H.D. Toney, 72, will be held at a later date. Arrangements 
are under the direction of Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Mr. Toney passed away August 
1, 2006, in Marshall. He was born May 15, 1934, in Littlefield, to William H. 
Toney and Ludie Osborne Toney. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Toney 
loved gardening and fishing. Mr. Toney was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia 
Toney, on May 5, 2006. Survivors include his one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and 
Carol Toney of Hallsville; one brother, Marion Toney of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; four 
grandchildren, Wendy Nettles and Toby Toney, both of Longview; Skipper Toney, 
serving active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq; and Macey Toney of Hallsville; 
and five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Brett, Gavin, Prestley, and Bentley.
