Turner, Roger Earl Funeral services for Roger Earl Turner, 39, of Liberty City, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Pastor Jim Johnson and Rod Seivley, Roger's uncle, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Park Cemetery. He passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Roger was born July 1, 1967, in Longview, and had been a lifetime resident of the Longview area. He was employed at Taylor Made Signs in Longview. He was formerly employed by his mother at Slaughter Pest Control, presently known as Ridgey's Pest Control, Globe Sign Company and East Texas Sign Company. Roger attended Pine Tree High School and also attended Fellowship Bible Church in Longview. He was a wonderful husband and excellent father, and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Turner; maternal grandparents, Grady E. Sr. and Maggie Nevill; paternal grandparents, Earl and Juanita Turner; uncles, Grady E. "Armadillo" Nevill Jr. and Buddy Mossier; and cousin, John Brittian Nevill. He was followed in death Sunday morning by his aunt, Jackie Earleen Turner Neubauer of Grimsley, Tenn. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sally Turner of Liberty City; son and daughter, James Earl Turner and Jennifer Renae Turner of Liberty City; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Nicole and Michael Dews of Longview; stepson, Ricky Lampkin; mother and stepfather, Edna "Ridgey" and Gene Watson of Longview; sisters, Sandy Charlene Turner Smith of Longview, and Alisha Carol Yarbrough of Fort Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Harley Shea-Luv Dews and Peytan Dakota Sky Dews, both of Longview; uncles and special aunts, Glenn and Peggy Nevill and Charles Nevill, all of Longview, Dwight and Teresa Nevill and Randy and Leslie Nevill of New Boston, John and Karen Nevill of Queen City, Gary Turner and Eddy Turner of Longview, and Craig Turner of Liberty City; aunts and special uncles, Louise and Carl Cole of Muskogee, Okla., Barbara and Jimmy Beall of Longview, and Gwen and Rod Seivley of Lake Cherokee; nephews, Brandon Scott Smith and Christopher Blake Smith, both of Longview; and many other special family members and friends.
