Taylor, Dwight Dwight Taylor was born December 18, 1922, in Delta, Iowa, to Estel and Mable Taylor. He went to be with his Lord on August 26, 2007. He graduated from Chilocothe Business School before serving his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dwight farmed for many years in Iowa and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He trusted Christ as his Savior in 1948. He worked several years with Write Way Prison Ministries. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Stella; and granddaughter, Michele Bennett. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Darvol Lorraine Taylor; children, David and Linda Taylor, Bruce and Carrie Taylor, Robert and Leilani Taylor, Ruth and Rod Owensby, Mary Ann and Dennis Kelderman , Lois and Cliff Hedrick, and Joan and Steve Wilson; sister, Marguerite Webster; niece, Laura Lester; stepdaughter, Tirsa and Scott Morrison. Tirsa cared for him with great love, devotion and sacrifice during his battle with Alzheimer's. Mr. Taylor is also survived by 24 grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007, at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Write Way Prison Ministries.
