Funeral services for PFC Jonathon W. Thompson, 20, of Kilgore, will be 
at 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 
4619 Judson Road, with Father J. Bruce Lincon officiating. Burial, with 
military honors, will follow in Danville Cemetery of Kilgore.

Mr. Thompson passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Sheppard Air 
Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Jonathon was born March 2, 1987, in Vicenza, Italy, to Wesley and Julie 
Perez Thompson. He was a Private First Class in the United States Army 
serving for 1-1½2 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Juan Perez.

Jonathon is survived by his mother, Julie Potier of Liberty City; father, 
Wesley Thompson of Buffalo, Mo.; sisters, Jennifer Thompson-Owens and 
Monique Cunningham; brothers, Marc Cunningham and Michael Potier, both of 
Liberty City; one nephew, Gabriel Owens; aunts, Cris Hernandez, Linda 
Perez and Barbara Perez; uncle, Juan Perez; grandmother, Mary Flores; and 
numerous cousins.

A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Thursday evening, April 19, 2007, at the 
funeral home.
