Tipton, S.J.

Services for S. J. Tipton, 89, of Longview, will be at 10 a.m. today, August 25, 2007, 
at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be at 
4 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery of Marietta, Oklahoma, under the direction of Rader Funeral 
Home of Longview.

Mr. Tipton died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at a local hospital.

He was born June 17, 1918, in Marietta, Oklahoma, and he had been a longtime resident 
of Longview. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed by Axelson 
Corporation.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Tekansik of Longview; a grandson, Jerry Bell of 
Longview; a sister, Eunice Benton of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
