Tompkins, Bobby Glenn Services for Bobby Glenn Tompkins, 55, of Kilgore, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Church on the Rock, with Pastor Chuck Warnock and Pastor Paul Klewer officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Tompkins went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2007, in Tyler, Texas. He was born July 24, 1951, in Tyler, Texas, to Sid and Lena Tompkins. He was affectionately known by his John Tyler High School Classmates as "Mouse." He was employed by several oilfield companies in the East Texas area before owning and operating B and M Pumping. Bobby was a member of Church on the Rock. He was an avid mechanic and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling in his motor home. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two nieces, Tammy Marie Tompkins and Anissa Kay Irvin. Bobby is survived by his wife, Marie Tompkins of Kilgore; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis Allen and Jennifer LeBow of Madrid, Spain, and Christopher Kevin LeBow of Tyler; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and David Lassiter of Arlington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Christa Tompkins of Tyler, and Tommy and Brenda Tompkins of Kilgore; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Randy Tomlinson of Kilgore, Sandy and Jerry Randolph of Overton, and Patti and Dennis Harris of Longview; 10 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many nieces and nephews who thought their uncle hung the moon. The family would like to extend their gratitude to those who cared for Bobby: Susan Cox of Overton; Stephanie Link of Palestine; Nancy Haygood of Tatum; Dr. Thomas Beets of Kilgore; and Dave Brenton of Hospice Home Place.
