Vannatta, Richard Lee "Rick" 


Richard Lee "Rick" Vannatta, 51, of Longview, passed away March 21, 2006, in a 
Longview hospital. Rick was born October 18, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John 
O. and Jerolene "Jeri" Beaird Vannatta. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School 
in Hurst, and later graduated from Tyler Jr. College with an associates degree in 
electrical technology. Rick was an industrial electrician and worked for several 
different companies in the area, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is 
survived by his son, Bryan Lee Vannatta of Longview; his parents; John O. and 
Jeri Vannatta of Longview; one grandson, Aaron Vannatta; a brother, Jim Vannatta 
of Boyd; a sister, Elaine Taylor of San Francisco, California; and numerous aunts, 
uncles, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, 
in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Cantey officiating. 
Entombment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be
