Vaughn, Lottie HENDERSON - Lottie Vaughn, 93, of Kilgore, went home to be with our Lord on August 15, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Lottie Louise Still was born June 21, 1914, in Kilgore, to Joseph Carrol "J.C." and Emma Moore Still. She attended Kilgore schools and lived in the East Texas area all her life. She was married to Henry Richie Walker for 21 years, until his death in 1953. They were the parents of six children. She worked in the nursery at Kilgore First Baptist Church until 1966 and was a homemaker. She later married John J. Vaughn in 1966. They were married for 29 years, until his death in 1996. They were both members of Smyrna Baptist Church in the Oak Flat Community. Lottie was the sole surviving descendant of one of East Texas' pioneer families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Still; sisters, Edna Arnold, Bernice Ford and Mary Still; brothers, Sammy Still and Joseph Still; her two husbands, Henry Walker and John J. Vaughn; and two sons, James Asa Walker and Joseph H. Walker. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Rucker, Cissy Walker, Charlotte and Richard Vickers, Mary and Frank Rucker, and Foy and Lek Walker; brother-in-law, Steve Vaughn; sisters-in-law, Ethel Still, Bonnie Still and Jean Hackey; 16 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2007, at Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson. Internment will follow in Holleman Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice of Longview or Smyrna Baptist Church of the Oak Flat Community.
