Walker, Carolyn Parker 

Graveside services for Carolyn Walker, 74, of Longview, will be 3:30 p.m. 
Friday, August 11, 2006, at Rosewood Park, with Dr. Harlan Hall officiating. 
Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. 
Walker passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2006, at her home. Mrs. 
Walker was born May 2, 1932, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Simon and Beatrice 
Parker. She and her husband, Gene Walker, had been in Longview for 44 years, 
and she was a member of First Baptist Church. She and Gene were going to be 
celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend. Survivors include 
her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Brian Tompkins of Bedford; 
son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Karen Walker of Arlington; four 
grandchildren, Meredith Tompkins, John Tompkins, Matthew Tompkins, and Sienna 
Rose Walker; and one brother, Robert Parker of Huntsville, Ala. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1125 Judson Rd. 
Ste. 150, Longview, TX 75601. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday 
evening, August 10, 2006, at the funeral home. A memorial guestbook may be
