Weldon, Jarrod Leigh Services for Jarrod Leigh Weldon, 24, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel at 1617 Judson Road in Longview, with Clark Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Mr. Weldon was born June 30, 1982, in Longview, and he died September 21, 2006, in Longview. Survivors include his parents, Joe and Karen Weldon; and sisters, Jodie Bartell and Emily Cox. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers include, Gerritt Tisdale, Derek Weldon, Robbie Tembrook, Chad Swank, Chris Carpenter, and Jimmie Newhauser. Jarrod was born in Longview on June 30, 1982, to Joe and Karen Weldon. He passed from this life on September 21, 2006. He attended school at Pine Tree, graduating in 2000. After graduating, Jarrod attended Kilgore Jr. College and Texas State Technical College in Marshall. He has worked for several companies, including Central Freight Lines, Big Five Tire Co., Coburn's Supply Co., and most recently, Johnny Corino's. Jarrod was a member of the Greggton Church of Christ in Longview. Jarrod had a great love and passion for life. He lived for the moment and took from it all that he could. His family and friends were so very important to him and he loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed water sports, skate boarding, just "hanging" out and music. Music was his greatest passion and ambition. Jarrod was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Richard Arnold Sr. of Longview; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Weldon of Bryan; and his aunt, Nancy Gail Hyde of Duncan, Okla. He is survived by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jodie and Matthew Bartell of Coronado, Calif., Emily and Brad Cox of Longview; paternal grandfather, George J. Weldon of Jacksboro; and maternal grandmother, Betty Blakely of Longview; nieces, Hannah Bartell and Abby Cox; nephews, Harrison and Hudson Bartell; aunts and uncles, James "Bubba" Arnold Jr., Jason Arnold, both of Longview, Jana and Lloyd Tisdale of Conroe, Eddie and Julie Weldon of Longview, and Loree and Ronnie Neismith of Bryan; as well as numerous cousins, and a host of other family and friends. "The family wants all of our family and friends to know how much all of the love, prayers, and words of comfort have helped us at this most difficult time. All our love to each and everyone.
