Westmoreland, Charles Kenneth Memorial services for Charles Westmoreland, 67, of Longview, Texas, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006, at the Parkway Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. The services will be officiated by the Reverend John D. Miller of "The Chapel of the Assemblies of God" Church of Keller, Texas. Mr. Westmoreland died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at his home. He was born August 7, 1939, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Samuel B. and Eva Ray Westmoreland. Mr. Westmoreland lived most of his life in the East Texas area and worked at R.G. LeTourneau for many years. He was a minister for the Pentecostal Holiness Church and served as a missionary and pastor to the Navajo Indians at Red Peak Valley Evangelistic Church at Smith Lake, New Mexico. He is survived by his sweetheart, caregiver, and best friend, Margaret Pedro; his sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Joe Jackson of Tyler, Texas; sons, Kenneth Westmoreland of Gladewater, Texas, and Fred Westmoreland of Smith Lake, New Mexico; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Hughston Anderson of Longview, Texas, Angela and David Garza of Houston, Texas, Kalah and Patrick Hughes of Keller, Texas, Charla and David Sparks of Longview, Texas, and Charlynne and Mitchell Begay of Smith Lake, New Mexico; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
