Whitworth, W.E. "Gene" 

KILGORE -- Services for W.E. "Gene" Whitworth, 69, of Kilgore, will be 
2 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, 
with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Danville 
Cemetery. Mr. Whitworth passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006, at his home 
in Kilgore. Mr. Whitworth was born August 7, 1936, in Kilgore, to Palmer 
and Nedra Whitworth, deceased. Mr. Whitworth grew up in Kilgore and was 
a graduate of Kilgore High School class of 1955. He was retired from the 
Santa Fe Railroad after 40 years of service. After retirement, he and Pat 
moved back to Kilgore, where he spent much of his time visiting with old 
friends and classmates. He loved to travel in the mountains and out west. 
Mr. Whitworth enjoyed cars, in particular, new and fast ones. He will be 
missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, 
Pat Whitworth of Kilgore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Benita Sue and 
Jimmy Barton of Leverett's Chapel, and Laverne and Jerry Crutcher of 
Longview; brother-in-law, Sonny Main and his wife, Kathy, of Hallsville; 
as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. 
The family will receive friends today, July 2, 2006, at Rader Funeral
