Womack, Lester Lester Womack, 81, of Longview, passed away May 3, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born September 18, 1924, in Troup, Texas, to Lester and Eunice McAnally Womack. Mr. Womack worked as a machinist and in security for LTV Aircraft Industries Inc. where he retired after 25 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 404, Eastern Star No. 610, the Shrine Temple in Dallas, and VFW Post No. 4002. He was an avid guitar player. Mr. Womack is survived by his wife, Fran Womack of Longview; three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell Dale and Marianna of Grapevine, Larry Mason and Donna Carrol Womack of White Oak, and Lester David Womack of Longview; one daughter, Nancy Beth Goode of Tyler; two step-sons, Mike Reeves and his wife, Marty, of Kilgore, and Mark Reeves of Tyler; one brother; Doyle Womack of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, May 5, 2006, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
