Watson, Irene KILGORE - Services for Irene Watson, 95, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2007, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Mills, Brother Kelly Brian and the Rev. Freeman Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Crim's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Mrs. Watson died Friday, April 6, 2007, in Longview. She was born March 6, 1912, in the Crim's Chapel community of Rusk County, Texas, to Ronda and Eunice Barton Waller. Irene married Lark Watson September 4, 1926. They were farmers in the Monroe community and later purchased the Cross Roads Store. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, farming and family. Mrs. Watson is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Erskine and Laverne Watson of Kilgore, Everett and Shirley Watson of Tyler, Major General Retired Gerald G. and Carol Watson of Jacksonville, Alabama; a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Alton Walker of Kilgore; a brother, Arnold Waller of Enola, Arkansas; a sister, Evelyn Banda of Kilgore; 10 grandchildren, Alton Watson of Conroe, David Watson of Kilgore, Kenneth Wayne Alston of White Oak, Colonel Bryan Watson of Wiesbaden, Germany, Stephen Watson of Kilgore, Mark Watson of Nashville, Tennessee, Darryl Watson of Atlanta, Georgia, Tina Green of Pine Tree, Buddy Walker of Kilgore, Dr. Jeff Watson, of Nashville, Tennessee; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Alton Watson; and her husband, H.L. Watson. The family will receive friends 3:30-5 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home.
