Watts, Johnnie Funeral services for Johnnie Watts, 79, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview, with Mattie Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Mr. Watts was born June 30, 1927, in Dallas, Texas, to Marie and Johnnie R. Watts, who preceded him in death. Johnnie graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and attended Southern Methodist University. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. An avid pilot, he enjoyed vacations, cruise ships and church activities. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and the Prime Time Sunday school class. A real estate investment broker, he had many South Longview holdings and retired December 2005, after 50 years due to his health. Johnnie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Juanita; children, Kim of Austin, Kevin of Livingston and Melodie of Beckville; granddaughters, Johnnie Elaine Watts of Texarkana, Texas, and Jillian Doss of Gladewater; stepson, Bill Davidson and wife, Dayna, of Hallsville; stepdaughter, Cindy Keith of Diana; and stepgrandsons, Adam and Austin Davidson of Hallsville and Hunter Sandlin of Diana.
