Wood, Jack

Jack Wood, 82,of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of New York City 
and Longview, died February 18, 2007, at his residence. Born 
in Longview, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, 
received the Victory Medal, and enjoyed a long and successful 
career in network television as a writer and director of 
several soap operas, including "Guiding Light," "One Life to 
Live," and "All My Children," winning two Emmy awards and many 
nominations.
