Worthen, Dana Oxford TYLER - Private graveside services for Dana Oxford Worthen, 36, of Longview, will be held at a later date. The family will receive family and friends Monday, July 2, 2007, from 5-7 p.m., at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Worthen passed away June 29, 2007, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, from burns received April 26, 2007 in Longview, Texas. Dana was born November 17, 1970, in Tyler, Texas, the daughter of Marsha and Jackey Oxford. She graduated from John Tyler High School and TJC nursing program. Dana worked many years in the medical field in Tyler and Kilgore. She loved working with the young and elderly. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Shults, the joy of her life; parents, Marsha and Jackey Oxford of Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jason Bandel of Tyler; nephews, Cody Miller and Tanner Bandel of Tyler; former husband and friend, Todd Worthen of Tyler; aunts and uncles, Jackie Frank of Spring, Texas, Dell Davis of LaPorte, Texas, Tommie and James Cagle of Chandler, Melvin and Doris Davis of Tyler, Maggie and Greg Nordyke of Bullard, Virginia and Joe Barron of Tyler, Donald Oxford of Tyler, Kenneth and Ruth Oxford of Van, Ann and Steve Crawley of Chandler, Sue and Don Hines of Chandler, and Tommie Malone of Tyler; and a host of cousins, other relatives and loved ones and special friend, Tracy Palmer of Longview. Dana was preceded in death by grandparents, Ulric "Pug" and Glady Oxford and Joe and Eva Gorman.
