Walker, W.C. "Bill" GLADEWATER - Services for W.C. "Bill" Walker, 91, of Gladewater, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at the Church of the Nazarene, with the Reverend Dean Simmons and Brother James Peoples officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. Born March 6, 1916, in Fairfield, he entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2007. He was co-owner of Walkers Well Service and Pipe Pulling Co. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, W.P. and Mary Belle Walker; daughter, Lana Roberts; two sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Elwanda Walker of Gladewater; three daughters and sons-in- law, Charline and Dean Simmons, Connie and Max Copeland, and Cindy and Mason Williams, all of Gladewater; grandchildren, Sheila and Kenny Huffman, Jerry Simmons, Cindy and Don McDaniel, Glenn and Becky Simmons, Laura Copeland, Betsy and Christopher Thompson, and Mase Williams; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers; and two sisters. Pallbearers will be his nephews. The family extends special thanks to Lorine Phillips and Mary Wallace, caregivers, and to Heart'sWay Hospice.
