Wilson, Jimmie Nell Jimmie Nell "Meemaw" Wilson, 75, of Hallsville, passed away August 7, 2007, at a medical center in Longview. She was born June 5, 1932, in Etoile, to Jim and Maudie Williams Roberts. Mrs. Wilson's life revolved around her church and her children. In 1958, she joined Kilgore Missionary Baptist Church, where she became very active in the Ladies Auxiliary, and teaching Sunday school for more than 20 years. She was also very active in the Hallsville Boys Baseball Association, and served on the board of the Hallsville United Way. She loved to travel and go camping, as well as First Monday in Canton. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. "Cheese" Wilson, in 1999; and three brothers, Carl Ray, Herbert Glenn and Sylvester Roberts. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kim Wilson of Hallsville, and Shane and Lisa Wilson of White Oak; nine grandchildren to which she was known as Meemaw, Kara Lisa Wilson of Hallsville, Matt Wilson of Longview, Karlee Wilson of Hallsville, Kelci Wilson of Hallsville, Cayla Wilson of Longview, Connie Wilson of Longview, Lauren Secord of White Oak, Kristin Secord of White Oak and Morgan Wilson, also of White Oak; one great-grandchild, Ashton Garza of Longview; many nieces, nephews and close family members; along with a loving church family. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Gribble and the Rev. Bradley Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00- 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the funeral home. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 8/8/2007.
