Woodul, James E. "Woody" Funeral services for James E. "Woody" Woodul, 68, of Longview, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverend Emmitt Barrow officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery near Hope, Arkansas. Woody was born February 27, 1939, in Hempstead County, Arkansas, to Cecil and Edna Woodul. He was a lawn and garden technician at Sears, a member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, and on the CB, went by the handle, "Hillbilly." He was a member and Past Master of Pine Tree Masonic Lodge No. 1396, Tatum Masonic Lodge No. 1386, and District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Carolyn. He is survived by his sons, James E. Woodul Jr. and wife, Alvalin of Killeen, David A. Woodul and wife, Julia of San Antonio, and Charles M. Woodul and wife, Shonna of Georgia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Spier of Longview; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Weaver; sister-in-law, Diane Stewart; and brothers- in-law, David and Daniel Weaver. The family asks that memorial donations be made to Winterfield United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, September 28, 2007, at the funeral home.
