NOTES:
It is said that Robert Bell SYPERT, in search of new land, arrived in Texas
in 1856 on the back of a Tennessee Walker horse.  He found the land he
wanted and in order to buy it, he sold his Tennessee Walker.  With the
money, he purchased 200 acres of land for $800 from J.E. Whitehorn, about 2
miles SE of the present Hallsville, Texas.  The family story goes that
Robert walked back to Tennessee to gather his family, slaves, farm animals
and household belongings to move to Texas.
