Alexander, Jeanette Morris MARSHALL -- Funeral services for Jeanette Morris Alexander, 61, of Marshall, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Evers, the Rev. Ron Segers, and Dr. Bart McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery of Harleton. Mrs. Alexander died at 8:05 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, at a Longview hospital. Born September 17, 1944, in James, Texas, she was a daughter of Rome Spencer Morris and Lillie Ocie Moreland. She attended New Diana schools. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Alexander was also an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing. She invester her life into her family. She was a homemaker. On June 10, 1961, in Marshall, she married Charlie Alexander. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Alexander of Marshall; children, Susan and Tad Stoker of Hallsville, Ocie and Bart McMillan of Gainesville, Georgia, and Jay and Jerianne Alexander of Greenville; grandchildren, Sharlyt and Chris Smith of Carthage, Sergeant Shayne Alexander, U.S. Army in Baghdad, Iraq, Shaun and Amy Borden of Hallsville, Micah McMillan of Gainesville, Georgia, Matthew McMillan of Gainesville, Georgia, Macie McMillan of Gainesville, Georgia, Kameron Stoker of Hallsville, and Eric Stoker of Hallsville; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Alexander of Longview, Madison Smith of Carthage, Bradley Alexander of Austin, Brianna Smith of Carthage, and Morgan Borden of Hallsville; brothers, Wesley Morris, Spencer Morris, Billy Morris, and Kevin Morris; and sisters, Bertha Morris and Betty Jane Alexander. She is also survived by her beloved pet, Chipper. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Morris; and a sister, Lillian Pearlie Morris. Serving as pallbearers will be Sergeant Shayne Alexander, Shaun Borden, Micah McMillan, Matthew McMillan, Chris Smith, and Ricky Alexander.
