Armstrong, Rubye Nell 


MARSHALL -- Services for Rubye Nell Armstrong, 83, of Marshall, 
will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Colonial 
Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel 
McMahon and Dr. Pat Day officiating. Interment will be in Grange 
Hall Cemetery. Mrs. Armstrong died March 18, 2006, in Shreveport, 
La. Born August 8, 1922, in Madison County, Fla., she was an 
active member of the W.S.C.S., a life member of the P.T.A. and a 
former Cub Scout leader, served on the child welfare board for 
more than 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist 
Church of Marshall. Survivors include her son, Larry Armstrong; 
daughters, Gloria Smith and Joyce Mattox; and sisters, Carolyn 
Robertson and Connie Stewart. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today 
at the funeral home.
