Daniels, Bernice Marie Funeral services for Bernice Marie Daniels, 84, of Longview, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the First Baptist Ford Chapel, with her great-nephew, Dr. Jack Albright, and longtime friend, Dewayne Beaty, officiating. Interment will be in Colonial Gardens in Marshall, immediately following the funeral services. Bernice passed away June 17, 2006, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Ms. Daniels was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Ms. Daniels was born April 26, 1922, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to William C. and Lucille Albright. Later, the family moved to Marshall, where Ms. Daniel was educated and graduated from Marshall High School in 1939. In 1949, she married Charles L. Daniels and had two children, H.L. Daniels and Denise Daniels Jones. The Daniels family moved to Longview in 1960, and became active members of the First Baptist Church. Bernice taught both the youth and adult Sunday school classes for many years and sang in the Saints Alive Choir. In addition, she was active in BXYZ for senior members and also served as Sunday school director. Ms. Daniels was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Albright; her sisters, Elizabeth Schlittler and Billye Bagliardo; and her husband of 54 years, Charles Daniels. Ms. Daniels is survived by her children, H.L Daniels and wife, Janet, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Denise Daniels Jones of Allen. Her grandchildren include: Jennifer Daniels Dolan and husband, Mike; Braden Daniels and wife, Casey; Jeff Jones; Scott Jones; and Aimee Jones. Her great-grandchildren include: Jackson and Blake Dolan, and Katie Daniels. Pallbearers will be Stan Glenn, Ronnie Matthews, Braden Daniels, Jeff and Scott Jones, Wes Matthews, and Ryan Ward. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Joe Baucum, longtime friend and former employer. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
