Evans, Warren Elwood MARSHALL -- Services for Warren Elwood Evans, 81, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas, with the Rev. Jerry Jones and the Rev. Tom Ratcliff officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, at Thornton Cemetery in Trinity, Texas. Mr. Evans passed away January 30, 2006, in Karnack, Texas. He was born August 10, 1924, in Trinity, Texas, to Oliver and Ellen Evans. Mr. Evans was an inspector for Thiokol for 31 years. He was married to Charlene Tatum Evans on June 16, 1951, in Texas City. He loved woodworking and fishing. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ellen Evans; brothers, J.C. Cooter Evans, Raywood Evans, and Leo Evans; sister, Clara Joyce McCormick; and infant sister and granddaughter, Jenny Lynn Evans. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Evans of Karnack; sons and daughters-in-law, Norman L. and Rose Evans of Hollywood, Ala., Joseph C. and Pam Evans of Jefferson, and Earl and Deanna Evans of Forney; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Adelle and Wayne Owen of Trinity; brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Gracie Evans of Pueblo, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Butch Owen, Paul Emmons, George Evans, Joe Evans, and Ken Taylor.
