Futrell, Victor "Gene"

MARSHALL - Graveside services for Victor "Gene" Futrell, 74, of Burleson, 
formerly of Marshall, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Colonial 
Gardens Cemetery, with Brother Bill Evers officiating. Arrangements are by 
Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Futrell died June 21, 2007, in Burleson.

Born August 14, 1932, in Marshall, he was a retired librarian from East 
Texas Baptist University and an ordained minister. He was also a member of 
Bel Air Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Amy Franks; son, 
Scott Futrell; brothers; and sister. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today 
at the funeral home.
