Goldman, Mildred "Dick" JEFFERSON - Mildred "Dick" Goldman, of Marshall, quietly passed away while sleeping on March 30, 2007. She was born April 16, 1908, in Greenville, to Ezra Orlando Kiningham and Harriet Ann Reeves. Mrs. Goldman was the youngest of six sisters and one brother. Prior to her marriage to Louis "Goldie" Goldman in June of 1933, she was employed by White House department store in Beaumont. While married, she worked for Miller's Dry Cleaners in Houston, and in her later years, she modeled clothing in Houston. Among many things, she enjoyed playing card games, watching the Houston Astros and telling as well as hearing jokes. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and member of the Bellaire United Methodist Church for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Louis "Goldie" Goldman, a member of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame, inducted on June 10, 2000. A true angel to her family, she is survived by her sons, James Goldman, John Goldman Sr. and wife, Laura, all of Marshall, and her daughter, Kathryn Goldman of Longview; grandchildren, John Goldman Jr. of Marshall, Janice Davis and husband, Mitchell, of Austin, Jill Suttin of Dallas, Erin Suttin of Longview, Rachel Garber and husband, Mark ,of Lafayette, La., Thomas Goldman III and Rebekah Woodfin and husband, Aaron, all of Marshall; stepgrandchildren, Leah Landry of Texarkana and Allison Landry of Shreveport, La.; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Woodfin of Marshall and Claire Garber of Lafayette, La.; niece, Ruth Massey and husband, Chester; nephew, Billy Stephens and wife, Jean, all of Houston; nephew, Robert Morriss and wife, Betsy, of Colorado; niece, Shirley Hammerson and husband, Tom, of California; and nephew, Ben Belew and wife, Ruby, of New York. The beautiful memory of Mrs. Goldman will be honored at a memorial service to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall.
