Harry Lee Wilson, and Barnie W. Bunt officiating. Burial will follow in LaGrone Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home. Mrs. Hopkins died June 29, 2006, at a local nursing facility. Born September 3, 1915, in Harleton, she was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher. Survivors include her husband, Sidney Hopkins; daughters, Elizabeth Adkisson and Margaret Pope; and brother, Calvin Landers. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hopkins passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Hopkins was born September 3, 1915, in Harleton, to Gus and Eva Pope Landers. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and working with flowers. She was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Landers; and sisters, Willie B. Drew, Bernice Emery, Louise Jones, and Gussie Fay Fraze. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 72 years, Sidney Hopkins of Hallsville; daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth Adkisson of Hallsville, and Margaret and Allen Pope of Harleton; brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Carmen Landers of Richmond; sisters-in-law, Stella Landers of Hallsville, and Nina Hopkins of Longview; grandchildren and spouses, Cynthia and Terry Nolan, Julie and Rusty Parks, Dennis and Tricia Adkisson, and Laura and Marty Wright; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Mulberry Springs Baptist Church Landscaping Fund or to the charity of your choice.
