Hamiter, Dickson Ellis

MARSHALL - Services for Dickson Ellis Hamiter, 56, of Shreveport, La., will be at 4 
p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Downs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill 
Stowell and the Rev. Paul Navarre officiating. Interment will follow in Restland 
Cemetery of Waskom. Mr. Hamiter died August 22, 2007, in Shreveport, La.

Born January 11, 1951, in Shreveport, La., he was co-owner and operator of Hamiters 
Chevron and member of Waskom Lions Club and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors 
include his wife, Linda Hughes Hamiter; daughters, Kelly Hamiter Mesloh and Sheryl 
Hamiter Boone; parents, Ernest Jewel and Mary Frances "Dolly" Hamiter; and sister, 
Dolores Hamiter Weiss. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
