LaForge, Mary Annette A celebration of the life of Mary Annette LaForge will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Cochran officiating. The committal will be in the Welch Garden Court. Mrs. LaForge went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Mrs. LaForge was born December 20, 1911, in Hallsville, Texas, the daughter of Walter R. Quillin and Mary Summers, and great-granddaughter of James Quillin, pioneer from Virginia. She lived in the LaGrone Chapel community for 67 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. Mrs. LaForge was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil LaForge, in 1968; two brothers, Reuben and Herbert Quillin; and two sisters, Willie Roseborough and Lillie Wandling. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mary Frances Rosette of Longview, and Catherine Strong of Bryan; grandsons and spouses, Wayne and Norma Rosette of Cleburne, Texas, and Wade and Denise Strong of Austin; granddaughters and spouses, Gail Burks and Vernon of Longview; and Sherri Strong Welch and Dr. Benjamin Welch of Bryan; great-grandchildren and spouses, Laura and Jonathan Reynolds of Nacogdoches, Jared and Kristi Rosette, and Lisa Rosette of Cleburne, Angela and Robbie Bradley of Hallsville, Candy and Marty Qualls of Hallsville, Cara and Casey Strong of Austin, Rachel, Ryan and Graham Welch of Bryan; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Helen Quillin of Kingwood, Texas.
