Mackey, Mary L. MARSHALL - A celebration of the life of Mary L. Mackey, 80, of Longview, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Mackey passed away on June 29, 2007. She was born June 24, 1927, in Marshall, Texas. She was very happily married to James Heim until his death in 1980, and then to Jack Mackey until his death in 2005. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1944. Mrs. Mackey retired after a long career with ICI America. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who had a zeal for life. Mrs. Mackey was known for finding humor in life's journey and helping others along the way. Cherishing her memory and rejoicing in her victory are her daughter, Emily Thompson, and granddaughter, Taylor Thompson; her sister, Letitia Edgar, nephew, Blake Skinnell, and niece, Letitia Brittain; and many other beloved friends and family.
