McCleney, Armon Eugene "Poppa Gene"

Services for Armon Eugene "Poppa Gene" McCleney, 73, of Hallsville, will be 
at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Hallsville First United Methodist 
Church. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rader 
Funeral Home at 1617 Judson Road in Longview. Mr. McCleney died July 2, 2007, 
at a local care facility.

He was a member of Hallsville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include 
his son, Matt McCleney. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.

McCleney, Armon Eugene

A celebration of life service for Armon Eugene McCleney, 73, of Hallsville, 
will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007, at the Hallsville First 
United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery, under 
the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

Mr. McCleney was born February 7, 1934, in Hallsville, to John S. and Willie 
Greer McCleney. He passed away on July 2, 2007, while surrounded in love at 
a nursing facility in Longview.

He was a member of the Hallsville First United Methodist Church and retired 
from Eastman Kodak with more than 35 years of committed service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife, Lottie Trice 
McCleney.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Matt 
and Shannon McCleney of Union Grove; grandchildren, Quay and Carlie McCleney; 
a large extended family whom he loved so dearly; a special friend, Barbara 
Carr; a wonderful church family at Hallsville First United Methodist Church; 
as well as many dear friends.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in honor of Mr. McCleney 
to: American Heart Association or Hallsville First Untied Methodist Church.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 3, 2007, at 
the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road.

"We love him and miss him terribly, but we are proud that he now resides with 
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!"
