Norwood, M.J. "Jake" 

MARSHALL -- Services for M.J. "Jake" Norwood, 75, of Waskom, 
will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006, at Downs Funeral 
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Corbun and the Rev. Sid 
Atkins officiating. Interment, with honors by Waskom Masonic 
Lodge No. 1254, will follow in Restland Cemetery of Waskom. 
Mr. Norwood died September 4, 2006, in Branson, Mo. Born 
November 14, 1930, in Brownstown, Ark., he was a U.S. Air 
Force veteran, having served during the Korean War, truck 
driver, and member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors 
include his wife, Sue Norwood; son, Malcolm Norwood; daughter, 
Tammy Russell; brothers, Doug Norwood, Bill Norwood, and Paul 
Norwood; and sisters, Gladys Barton, Lula Powell, Lorene 
Keesee, Nell McPherson, and Donnie Duke. Visitation will be 
6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online condolences may be
