Pollard, Harvey Kenneth MARSHALL -- Harvey Kenneth Pollard, 97, of Marshall, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2007, at Marshall Manor. Funeral services for Mr. Pollard will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at the chapel of Downs Funeral Home, with Art Ostrander and D.W. McClendon officiating. Interment will be in the Algoma North Cemetery. Mr. Pollard was born January 12, 1910, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Harvey Kemper and Annie Maude Green Pollard. He worked as a machinist for the railroad, and was a member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Lynn Watson McMinn and Eddie Shoults; and six sisters. Mr. Pollard is survived by his wife, Melba Pollard of Marshall; and four daughters, Brenda Shoults and husband, Bobby, Janie Watson and husband, Sonny, all of Marshall, Anita Overhaltz and husband, Eddie of Nacogdoches, and Kennie Smith and husband, Steve of Blanco, Texas. Also surviving Mr. Pollard are five grandchildren, Robbie Shoults of Marshall, Todd Overhaltz of Lufkin, Tonya Harden of Burleson, Brandon Smith of Allen, Texas, and Stephanie Capshaw, also of Burleson; nine great-grandchildren, Jaclyn McMinn, Erin, Krysta, and Hunter Shoults, Tyler and Tara Harden, Kate Capshaw, Zachary and Graham Smith; and one sister, Lucy Pollard of Nacogdoches. Pallbearers will be Robbie Schoults, Todd Overholtz, Brandon Smith, Hunter Schoults, Todd Harden, Mattheson Druy, and Wayne Woodruff.
