Submitted by Sharon McNary Vivian Henderson Schuler A celebration of the life of Vivian Henderson Schuler, 92, of Longview, will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, January 6, at the First United Methodist Church, Longview, with Reverend David Lindwall officiating. Services under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview. Interment will follow in Wells Chapel Cemetery, near Linden, Texas. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 5, from 5 to 7 PM. Vivian was born May 27, 1917 in Linden, Texas to Trimmier and Mattie Kay Henderson. She passed away January 2nd at her residence. Vivian was one of eleven brothers and sisters who were raised in a loving family environment, and they lived it throughout their respective lives. She has been reunited with all her brothers and sisters, as well as two of the most important people in her life; Robert, her beloved husband of 65 years, and Dale, her son who passed away in 2006. She dearly loved her family, her many friends, her church and her God. She was fortunate to spend her last days in her home due to the loving and constant care of her wonderful care-givers Cindy, Cheynice, Chereka and Charlotte and the outstanding service provided by Kelli and Deb of Heartsway Hospice. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Don Schuler of Austin, TX, daughter in law: Dot Schuler of Dow, Illinois, grandchildren: Christy Bryant and husband Keith, Amy Schuler, Robert Schuler, Chris Schuler and Caroline Schuler, great grandchildren: Riley and Austin Bryant, and special friend: Mabelle Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.. It was a good life.
