Sheppard, Henry Lawrence MARSHALL -- Funeral services for Henry Lawrence Sheppard, 49, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Texas Louisiana Association Building on Highway 43 North, with the Rev. D.D. Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Gardens Cemetery. Henry Sheppard was born July 14, 1956, in Marshall, to Fannie and the late Calvin Sheppard. He passed away Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2006, surrounded by family. Henry Sheppard attended and graduated from Marshall High School. He entered the U.S. Army, where he spent three years of his life. He was then employed at Eastman Chemical Company, where he worked for 20 years. He was affiliated with Canaan Baptist Church at an early age, and later became a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church, where he was an avid member. Henry was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Sheppard; and two sisters, Gwendolyn Reese and Sharon Sheppard. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lavelle Sheppard of Longview; two sons, Dorcus and Lekiesha Sheppard of Fayettville, N.C., and Lawrence and Aisha Sheppard of Portsmouth, Va.; four grandchildren, Tyambria, I'chanti, De'aundre, and Makayla; his mother, Fannie Sheppard; two brothers, James and Natalie Sheppard of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Myron Lewis and Dyanne Sheppard of Longview; four sisters, Jeanette and Clarence Finney of Dallas, Carolyn Moore, Thelma Lois and Dilworth Gordon, and Vera Sheppard, all of Marshall; six sisters-in-laws, Vivian and Bruce Bolden of Jefferson, Carol and Robert High of Paris, Sharon and Hubert Coats, Cecelia Ann Williams, Carrie Smith, and Ethel Brown, all of Marshall; three brothers-in-law, James Washington, and Phillip and Valarie Washington of Marshall, and Darnell and Sandra Washington of Longview; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church members, co-workers, neighbors, and friends.
