Strong, James M. MARSHALL - Graveside services for James M. Strong, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Grover Cemetery of Marshall, with the Rev. James Chambers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Mr. Strong was born June 11, 1928, in Harrison County, to Joseph Buford Strong and Lola Belle Pepper Strong. He passed away April 12, 2007, in Marshall. Mr. Strong served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Post No. 102. Mr. Strong was also a deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Faye Strong of Marshall; two daughters, Carolyn and husband, Steve Mauldin of Longview and Renee Rhea of Carlsbad, New Mexico; sisters, Louise Granger of Marshall; brother, L.B. Strong of Marshall; five grandchildren, Nick Mauldin of Longview, Courtney Mauldin of Dallas, Dee Dee Cartwright of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Travis Traeger of Kilgore and Brandi Traeger of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
