Funeral services for Flora A. Swinney, 86, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 1, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Fu-neral Home of Longview with Mr. Thomas Hogland officiating. Burial will be in Memory Park Cemetery. She died Saturday, March 30, 2002 in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Swinney was born April 21, 1915 in Pike County, Arkansas, and had been a resident of Longview since 1945, moving from Lockesburg, Arkansas. For many years, she was the concession operator for the Skateland Skating Rink in Longview. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greggton Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, L. H. ''Pete'' Swinney of Longview; son Todd A. Peterman of Longview; nieces and nephews, Reba Jean Climer and Marjorie McDaniel both of Athens, Roy Lee Alford of Russellville, Arkansas, Martha Williamson of Lima, Ohio, Don Alford of Melbourne, Florida, Edwin Alford of Nashville, Arkan-sas; Mary Barkman of Nash, Texas, Wayne Al-ford and Carlotta Mayfield, both of Atlanta, Texas, Addie Lea Surginer of Weatherford, Texas, Ruby Jo Baumgardner of Gran-bury, Texas, Lucy Ferne Younger of Florida, Sheila Walls of Fouke, Arkansas, Mary Evelyn York of Ow-ingsville, Kentucky, Gwen Seivley of Hallsville, Bar-bara Beall, Edna Slaugh-ter, Charles Nevill, & Glen Nevill, all of Longview, Randy Nevill of Roun-drock, Texas, Dwight Nevill of New Boston, Texas, Louise Cole of Muskogee, Oklahoma, John Nevill of Queen City, Texas, and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Al & Emily Peterman and son, Terry Peterman.
