Whelan Jr., Daniel E.

Funeral services for Daniel E. Whelan Jr., 75, of Longview, 
will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 200,7 at the chapel of 
Rader Funeral Home. Burial will be in Colonial Gardens in 
Marshall, Texas, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home 
of Longview. He was born December 2, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, 
to Daniel and Patricia Niland Whelan. He was a member of St. 
Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons, Dan 
Whelan III and wife, Gloria, of Mineola, Texas and Stephen 
Whelan and wife, Jody, of Ellinwood, Kan.; grandchildren, 
Brett Whelan and Sheehan Whelan; nephew, Bill Wood of 
Longview; and special friend and companion, Marilyn Lee of 
Marshall, Texas. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home this evening, March 5, 2007, from 6-8. A
