Longview Morning Journal January 14, 1988 John Henry Wilson Marshall Services for John Henry Wilson Sr, 86, of Marshall will be 10 a m Saturday at Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev Steve E Boling, Homer Shearer and Chuck Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery in Harleton. Mr Wilson died Wednesday morning in a Marshall hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Harleton on January 20, 1901, and was a retired self-employed painter. He had worked for the T and P Railroad and Missouri and Pacific Railroad before becoming self employed. Mr Wilson attended Harleton public schools and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades and the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Edna Carpenter; sons, John Henry Jr of Marshall, Virgil Frank of Charlotte, NC and Arless of Tyler; daughter, Mrs Odell Ebeling of Armore Okla; sisters, Fannie Sisco of Longview, Ann Mozelle of Phoenix, Ariz and Irene Davis and Helen Brinkley, both of Weatherford; brother Eugene of Alto Loma; 11 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
