Wood, Paul Whaley   

MARSHALL -- Services for Paul Whaley Wood, 85, of 
Marshall, will be noon Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 
First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joel 
McMahon officiating. Interment will follow in 
Scottsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Downs 
Funeral Home, 4608 Elysian Fields Road. Mr. Wood 
died March 27, 2006, in Marshall. Born February 24, 
1921, in Marshall, he owned and operated Wood Motor 
Company and was a member of First United Methodist 
Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann 
McClendon Wood; sons, Paul S. Wood, Edmund R. Wood, 
and Scott K. Wood; daughter, Mary Constance Wood; 
and sister, Nancy Rose Wood Fair. Visitation will 
be 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at the funeral
