Walker, Ruth Lynn MARSHALL -- Services for Ruth Lynn Walker, 74, of Harleton, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Midkiff, the Rev. Leonard Nichols and the Rev. Harry Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Harleton. Mrs. Walker died July 15, 2006, in Longview. Mrs. Walker was born to Henry and Bessie McGeorge on May 22, 1932, in Harrison County. She was married to George C. Walker Jr. on December 29, 1950, in Texarkana, Ark. Mrs. Walker was employed with Wright Bros. Supermarket as a grocery checker. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harleton. Mrs. Walker loved her family dearly, and she never met a stranger. She loved everyone, and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, George 'Cliff' Walker Jr. of Harleton; daughters and son-in-law, Jackie Lynn Oney of Marshall, and Julie Rene and Michael Wyatt of Harleton; grandchildren, Jordan Michael Wyatt, Anna Rene Wyatt, Abby Elise Wyatt and Meaghan Elizabeth Jo Oney; brothers, James H. McGeorge of Longview, Roy W. McGeorge of Pasadena, and Robert O. McGeorge of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bessie McGeorge; an infant son; and son-in-law, Ronnie Oney. Pallbearers will be Neal Copeland, Ronnie Garrison, Ronnie Pope, Billie Ridgeway, Johnny Walker and Jordan Wyatt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons, P.O. Box 1855, Marshall, TX 75671-1855. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, July 17, 2006, at the funeral home.
