Young, Carl Ralph

MARSHALL - Graveside services for Carl Ralph Young, 83, of Marshall, will be at 10 a.m. 
Friday, August 31, 2007, at Center Hill Cemetery in Linden, with Randy Shankle and Jeff 
Arrington officiating. Arrangements are by Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Young died August 28, 
2007, in Marshall.

Born September 30, 1923, in Page County, Iowa, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served 
during World War II, home renovator and member of the Church. Survivors include his wife, 
Ruth Young; son, Tom Young; daughters, Sherri Young and Sandy Keller; and sisters, Dorothy 
Maertins and Alice Phraner. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
