J. F. Roach was a member of the Grand Jury along with A. P. Green beginning October 3, 1927.  They met daily until October 29, except for one day.  The Grand Jury recessed and began again on November 26.  During that time, they examined 647 witnesses.

White Rock defeated Celeste HS 20-17 in basketball on December 1, 1927

Northwest Hunt County Singing District met in a singing convention at Celeste (CHS Auditorium) on Sunday, 1:30 PM on August 14, 1927.  Later White Rock hosted the convention.

Celeste Local Fair...reported in September 1927 that it had been held for "some" years.

Mrs. A. M. Cole of Childress, formerly of Kingston, died at Quannah hospital.  Survivors included her husband, three sons, one sister, two brothers (Ebb Scott and Arthur Scott of Greenville).  August 4, 1927, The Greenville Messenger)

Confederate Veterans held their reunion in Celeste, August, 1901. County Teacher Institute, met in April, 1901.

June, 1926, Hunt County YMCA board members included C. E. Patterson, Celeste, as recording secretary.  Round-up meeting to be in Celeste in September, 1926.

YMCA Met in Celeste, September 10, 1926.  Mayor D. R. Buchanan.  Henslee's Platform was the location for the open air meeting.  Also met in churches.

Celeste YMCA celebrated Halloween.  Observed Father-Son Week from November 7 to November 13, 1926.

December 2nd, 1926--there was a movie lecture at YMCA on sex hygiene.

Wagner and White Rock played on Thursday March 3, 1927.  The Wagner girls won 18-11.  The White Rock boys won 21-9.  Games were played on court at Fair Park, Greenville.
