The Celeste Courier

Celeste has been having hard luck lately, but with grit and determination will get there yet. You can't keep a good town down.

The wheels of the universe must have slipped a cog or two. Here we are having winter weather, hail, cold winds, and terrific twisters, wearing overcoats and furs, when we ought to be lolling in hot sunshine, threadless shirt waists, and linen pants.

Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Burifoy of Chidester, Arkansas, announce the marriage of their sister, Mrs.. Claudia Lyday, to Dr. Braxton V. Powell on the 30th of April. Mrs. Lyday is the daughter of the Commissioner John A. Stone. The Courier extends congratulations and wishes to the charming couple and a happy, prosperous journey through life.

Sunday Bob Williams went to Roxton and returned that evening with a lovely wife and fully developed family. He was married to Mrs. Lila B. Mitchell, a charming young widow with a little girl. Bob has a fine boy himself. Mrs. Mitchell is a cousin of our Public Weigher, B. G. Duncan. Their home will be in the Bruce house recently purchased by S. A. Thomas. Congratulations were showered upon them.
