Happy Birthday to Ninety-Four Year Old

One of Celeste's oldest citizens, Hattie Blankenship, celebrated her ninety-fourth birthday on Sunday, January 9, 1983.

Her birthday party was hosted by Lorene Wallace and Curly Wallace, her daughter and son-in-law with whom she lives.

Daughters Gladys Linton, Dollie Ingram, Nina Jensen, and granddaughter, Frances Linton Reynolds and her husband, Fred Reynolds, and nephew, Hubert Johnson and his wife, Faye Johnson, attended bearing gifts.

Mrs. Blankenship received a robe, money, a bowl, candy, clothing, and a pomander.

Mrs. Wallace cooked a delicious chicken dinner for the party.

Hattie Blankenship came to the Leonard/Celeste area from Missouri as a child and has been here ever since. Living sisters and brother are Mae McClintock, Mina Smith, and Howard Clift.
