Texas Giant Dead.
Greenville, Hunt Co., Tex., March 17-Died at his home in this city last
evening, A. O. Shields on his 49th birthday. Mr. Shields was one of
the famous family of Texas giants who traveled many years with Barnum's
show. Three brothers survive him, Joe of Ladonia, Shade of this place
and Johnse of Fairlie. He leaves a wife and several children.
