Mrs. Ardell Patterson, nee Irene Hopewell, twenty-four years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hopewell, who live ten miles north of town, died at the home of her parents Monday morning following a two weeks illness.

Funeral was conducted by Rev. H. T. Money and burial was in Hogeye Cemetery (Celeste Cemetery), east of Celeste.

Deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband and two children, Dudley Patterson, aged five years and Frank Kenneth Patterson, aged ten months.  She is also survived by her parents; three brothers, Wade Hopewell, Robert Hopewell, and Preston Hopewell; and two sisters, Kathleen Hopewell of Dallas and Coralie Hopewell of Commerce.

The life of this young woman was spent within a few miles of the home where she was born and her death brings sorrow to all who knew this worthy young woman.
